The U.S. Department of Labor has released two documents in April 2016 that may impact how your company complies with the federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). This includes:
- New Poster: The DOL released an updated version of the FMLA poster that covered employers are required to display in a conspicuous place where employees and applicants can see it. A poster must be displayed at all locations even if there are no employees eligible for FMLA leave.
- Employer Guide:The DOL release a guide that provides information about employers’ obligations under the law and the options available to employers in administering FMLA leave. It contains a number of charts and examples that may also be beneficial for employees.
