Here is an overview of the Gallup report on U.S. employee engagement levels in 2014 --- via CBG BenefitsDoes your company have a workforce full of engaged employees? According to a recent Gallup report, the answer to that question may not necessarily be “yes“.

Here are a few of the key statistics highlighted in the report:

  • Less than one-third (31.5%) of U.S. workers were engaged in their jobs in 2014
  • Managers, executives, and officers had the highest levels of engagement in 2014 at 38.4%.
  • Employees in service-based roles had one of the lowest engagement levels at 28.2%
  • In regards to generations, traditionalists are the most engaged group at 42.2%, while millennials are the least engaged group at 28.9%

The report defines engaged employees as those who are “involved in, enthusiastic about and committed to their work and workplace. It does also share some positive news — employee engagement is at its highest level since Gallup first began measuring it in 2000.
