At CBG Benefits, we are absolutely committed to helping our clients prepare for and take any necessary action regarding Health Care Reform.

But we are also aware of the uncertainty that still exists for many regarding its implementation.

In that regard, one piece of recent news has caught my attention. I wanted to share it with you.

Courts to Look at Health Care Reform

The article “Court orders new look at health care challenge” was the one that caught my attention. If you have a moment, I certainly think it’s worth reading it in its entirety. But here are some of the key points that you need to know.

  • The Supreme Court has revived Liberty University’s challenge to President Barack Obama’s healthcare reform laws
  • The university claims that Obama’s health care law violates the school’s religious freedoms
  • The 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals must now pass judgment on issues that previously declined to rule on

How This Effects Employers

As this process moves along through the court system, we will certainly keep a watchful eye. But at this point, it certainly makes sense for companies to take steps in line with the thought that Health Care Reform is moving forward.

If you are looking for assistance with that effort, our team at CBG Benefits is ready to help.

One resource that you may find beneficial is in this recent blog post, “What Obama’s Re-election Means For Health Care Reform“.
