The Department of Labor (DOL) has recently released a set of final regulations for the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
In addition to releasing these regulations, which become effective on March 8, 2013, the DOL has updated some of the model FMLA forms. This update includes the FMLA poster, which may be hanging in your office now.
Employers may start using the new poster immediately. The old poster must be replaced by March 8th.
Here are a few basic reminders regarding the FMLA poster:
- All covered employers are required to display and keep displayed the poster.
- The poster must be displayed in a conspicuous place where employees and job applicants can see it.
- A poster must be displayed at all locations even if there are no eligible employees.
